Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing Magpie Adventure and Explore for your travel experience in the mountains of Uttarakhand. Before booking your trip with us, please carefully read the following terms and conditions. These are in place to ensure a clear understanding between both parties and to maintain a safe, enjoyable, and well-coordinated experience.
1. Booking and Advance Payment
To confirm your travel package, an advance payment is required at the time of booking.
All advance payments are strictly non-refundable, regardless of the reason for cancellation or withdrawal from the trip.
Bookings are non-transferable to another individual or future dates.
2. Health and Fitness Requirements
Trekking and mountain travel require physical endurance. Guests are expected to assess their personal health and consult a doctor if needed before booking.
If a guest experiences illness (altitude sickness, breathlessness, fatigue, or any other health issue) and is unable to trek or complete the journey, no refund or compensation will be provided.
We are not responsible for any health complications that arise during the trip, especially those resulting from a change in climate or physical strain. Individuals used to city comforts or AC environments should be mentally and physically prepared for mountain conditions.
3. Natural Calamities and Environmental Challenges
Traveling in mountainous regions comes with natural risks such as:
Landslides
Heavy rainfall
Snowfall
Earthquakes
Floods
Sudden roadblocks or trail closures
Wildlife encounters
In the case of any natural disaster or environmental interruption, Magpie Adventure and Explore will not be held responsible for itinerary changes, delays, or cancellations.
No refund or rescheduling will be provided due to such circumstances.
4. Road and Transportation Incidents
While we coordinate with experienced drivers and transport providers, we are not liable for any road accidents, breakdowns, or delays caused by:
Driver negligence
Road conditions
Mechanical failures
Traffic or weather disturbances
Such events are unpredictable and cannot be considered grounds for compensation.
5. Voluntary Withdrawal or Incompletion
If a participant decides to leave the group or cancel part of the trip voluntarily due to fatigue, illness, or personal reasons, no partial refund or adjustment will be made.
The cost is calculated based on full package participation.
6. Itinerary Changes
The itinerary is prepared in advance, but it may be modified due to:
Weather conditions
Road accessibility
Local authority restrictions
Group health/safety concerns
We will do our best to offer an alternate plan, but such changes do not qualify for refunds or discounts.
7. Responsibility and Liability
While we strive to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip, guests travel at their own risk.
Magpie Adventure and Explore shall not be held responsible for:
Any kind of injury, illness, or loss of life
Natural disasters or weather-related disruptions
Lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings
Any third-party service failures (transport, hotel, guide, etc.)
8. Code of Conduct
Guests are expected to behave respectfully with fellow travelers, staff, locals, and nature.
Misconduct or violation of rules may result in removal from the trip with no refund or liability on our part.
9. Acknowledgment and Consent
By booking a trip with Magpie Adventure and Explore, you agree to abide by all the above terms.
You acknowledge that travel in mountainous terrain involves physical, environmental, and logistical challenges.
